Paul wrote his first letter to the Thessalonians around AD 51 just a few months after taking the gospel to Thessalonica on his second missionary journey. While he was there many people came to faith. Jealous Jews stirred up a riot and Paul escaped with his life. This left him wondering how these new believers were doing. Timothy visited them and brought back a good report. The church in Thessalonica had many questions and Paul’s letter encourages them to live holy lives in a hostile culture. Throughout the letter there are many references to the return of Christ which should inspire and warn us to embrace 8 essentials for living in what could be the End Times.
Have you ever seen an older couple holding hands walking down the sidewalk? You might remark, "They look so sweet." But the journey to a long-term relationship takes real work and you have to fight for it. That is what we are going to be talking about in our upcoming teaching series "Relationships Worth Fighting For."
As we go through the series, couples and singles can get a detailed look at how they are naturally "wired" to engage their relationships using tools created by Relationship Experts, Les & Leslie Parrott. To maximize your couple's assessment, you can attend a 4-week Better Love Class on Sunday at church. (Space is limited.)
